MEDIA RELEASE: AusAgritech Announces Leadership Transition with Britta Marsh Appointed Incoming Executive Officer

Brisbane, Australia – 8 May 2026

AusAgritech is pleased to announce the appointment of Britta Marsh as Incoming Executive Officer, marking the next phase of leadership for Australia’s peak industry body for agritech.

Britta brings a strong track record in agritech innovation, ecosystem development, and early-stage venture. She has worked closely with startups, investors, and industry stakeholders across Australia, supporting innovation programs, commercialisation pathways, and the growth of emerging agritech ventures.

She has also previously served on the AusAgritech Committee (2024–2026), contributing to national conversations around agritech adoption, ecosystem coordination, and industry development. In recognition of her contribution to the sector, Britta was recently awarded the Liz Alexander Bursary for Leadership in AgTech and Innovation, highlighting her commitment to strengthening Australia’s agritech ecosystem.

Her appointment comes at a pivotal time for the sector, as Australia looks to strengthen the pathways between innovation, capital, and on-farm adoption.

“AusAgritech plays a critical role in connecting the people and organisations shaping the future of agriculture in Australia,” said Marsh.

“I’m excited to step into this role at a time when there is real momentum across the ecosystem, and to continue building on the strong foundations already in place – particularly in ensuring innovation translates into practical, on-farm impact.”

Acknowledging the Contribution of Meg Lovegrove

AusAgritech also extends its sincere thanks to Meg Lovegrove, who is stepping down as Executive Officer after a significant period of leadership and contribution to the organisation.

During her tenure, Meg played a central role in strengthening AusAgritech’s national presence, supporting member engagement, and helping to elevate the profile of Australia’s agritech sector both domestically and internationally.

AusAgritech Treasurer Chris Wilkins said; “Over the last 3 years Meg has led AusAgritech through a period of transformation and into one of rapid growth. Her hard work and positive attitude has brought the industry together and built strong relationships across the sector. She leaves a legacy the industry should be proud of and grateful for.”

Looking Ahead

Meg will continue as Executive Officer until 30 June 2026, ensuring continuity for AusAgritech members, partners, and stakeholders during this transition period.

Britta will formally commence as Executive Officer from 1 July 2026, following a structured handover period with Meg and the AusAgritech Committee.

As AusAgritech moves into this next chapter, the organisation remains focused on its mission to connect, promote, and advance Australia’s agritech ecosystem. This includes ongoing work to strengthen national coordination, support industry growth, and accelerate the adoption of technologies that deliver real value for producers.

The transition comes ahead of National Agritech Week 2026, taking place in Brisbane from 10–12 June, where AusAgritech will bring together founders, producers, investors, researchers, industry, and government to strengthen pathways between innovation, capital, and adoption.
