8 September 2023 – The Australian Agritech Association (AusAgritech) has today formally announced the election of its new committee for the 2023 – 2024 period after its Annual General Meeting on Wednesday.
AusAgritech welcomes to the Committee returning members Cal Archibald, Director of Beanstalk AgTech, as returning Treasurer, and Andrew Coppin, Managing Director of Farmbot Solutions, and Fiona Turner, Co-Founder and CEO of Bitwise Agronomy, as General Committee Members. New additions include Tim Neale, Founder and Managing Director of DataFarming Australia as incoming President, Chris Wilkins, COO of LLEAF as incoming Secretary and Belinda Lay, Business Partner at Coolindown Farms as a General Committee Member.
The newly elected Committee brings a strong representation across the agritech ecosystem, consisting of Agritech Leaders, alongside those with strong investment, governance, government engagement, and advisory insights and experience.
Tim Neale, freshly appointed President of the AusAgritech Committee, said “I’ve been in agritech for 25 years and I am absolutely passionate about the industry and where it could go. We don’t rank highly enough on the world stage so I want to continue the push to legitimate agritech as a key part of agriculture and the Australian economy.”
The AusAgritech executive team is thrilled that the arrival of the new Committee has come during a period of tremendous growth, opportunity, and potential for both AusAgritech and the wider agritech ecosystem of Australia.
“The most enjoyment I get from working in agritech is the people. There is such a resilient, humble, and generous group of people in the industry, and want to showcase the great outcomes we achieve” Neale said.
AusAgritech is the peak body for agritech in Australia, on a mission to shape the future of agritech in Australia, and its contribution to the Australian economy. AusAgritech was established to put Australia at the forefront of global agritech innovation, and aspires to drive maximum benefit from Australia’s continued investment in research, innovation, ecosystem collaboration and digital strategies that enable new jobs, increase productivity, reduce food security risks and build sovereign capital.
