MEDIA RELEASE: AusAgritech Association appoints new committee to lead the peak body for the agritech sector

31 May 2022 – The Australian Agritech Association (AusAgritech) has formally announced the election of its new Committee for 2022-2023 after its inaugural Annual General Meeting last Friday after member voting. 


AusAgritech welcomed to the Committee returning members Andrew Coppin, Managing Director of Farmbot Monitoring Solutions, Lewis Frost, Chief Operations Officer at Ceres Tag, Matthew Pryor, General Partner at Tenacious Ventures and Fiona Turner, Co-Founder and CEO of Bitwise Agronomy. New additions to the Board included Cal Archibald, Director at Beanstalk AgTech and Rechelle Leahy, Founder & CEO of RegionalCollab. Cal Archibald and Lewis Frost were elected to the positions of Treasurer and Secretary respectively. 

The newly elected Committee brings strong representation across the agritech ecosystem, consisting of agritech leaders alongside those with strong investment, governance, government engagement and advisory insights and experience. 

Andrew Coppin, returning President of the AusAgritech Committee, said “It’s an honour and a pleasure to continue my role as President of the Australian Agritech Association. Two years on and with a new Committee to lead our strategy, there has never been a more exciting time for agritech as we seek to grow the sector to a $40bn per annum opportunity for Australia.” 

“We thank all of our members and supporters across the country – the possibilities for the agritech sector abound,” Coppin said. 

Tracey Martin, CEO of AusAgritech, said that the arrival of the new board coincided with a period of tremendous growth, opportunity and potential for both the Association and the wider agritech ecosystem in Australia. 


“The Association has been generously backed by our corporate partners and members. It is through their thought leadership and vision that it has been possible to firmly establish the Association as the voice of agritech in Australia,” Ms Martin said. 

“In 2022, AusAgritech has gained significant traction across the ecosystem and in government affairs, whilst also positioning itself to shape and drive the agritech sector forward through collaborations, strategic partnership and the drive of its members. We look forward to continuing to do so under the guidance of our new Committee.”
